I travelled 20 days a month as an Education Consultant until the Pandemic of 2020 eliminated my position. Staying in hundreds of hotels across the US & Europe and being away from home is rarely "accommodating."
Fact is, I rarely had time to visit a famous landmark or a renowned restaurant in most cities. The flight schedule never allowed me the time to kick back, experience the culture and appreciate my surroundings.
I don't really miss it. I definitely don't miss dragging nightstands away from the wall so that I could maneuver a wall plug into the only free socket near the bed! I'm satisfied adapting to a slower, more relaxed pace in Pine.
Once I found the Wandering Elk Cabin in Pine, I was determined to create a retreat space where little details, small comforts & special touches would soften the challenges of being away from home.

GREAT ROOM
The Great Room is one of four comfortable gathering spots on the main floor. A-frame windows draw the towering Ponderosa Pines and Junipers indoors. In the colder months everyone gathers around the unique (think the Jetsons) Cobalt & Copper fireplace. During warmer weather, people tend to congregate around a firepit on the private back deck, or they'll visit near the grill and rocking chairs on the front patio.

We love spending time at the Wandering Elk Cabin in Pine. We love to bring family & friends together. We also cherish space for private reflections and it's easy to find a quiet space on the 3 floors, the front porch, the decks ... or out the front door and off the beaten path

Through the past few years, I have no doubt that each one of us has faced unique struggles.
